Dire, Dire Docks

To celebrate Mario's 35th anniversary and the release of Super Mario 3D All-Stars I arranged one of my favorite video game pieces, if not one of my favorite pieces of music of all time. This is Dire, Dire Docks from Super Mario 64.

Stage of Fools

It's been awhile since I wrote an original piece. This was composed and recorded remotely during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Thank you to all my wonderful friends for doing this with me!

Halo Main Theme

I wanted to step out of Nintendo Land for this next arrangment. So, I settled on the Halo Theme!

Fountain of Dreams - Kirby

This has always been one of my favorites. The game where I first heard it was in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It goes by numerous names and has many different versions so here is another one! Thanks to my wonderful friends for recoding this for me! This arrangement is for marimba, 2 flutes, and alto sax.

Gruntilda's Lair/Isle o' Hags - Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie

Banjo-Tooie has had a huge impact on my life. That game is a big reason why I went in to music, and the soundtrack has stuck with me and made a lasting impression. With how big of an impact these two games have had on me, it's about time I made an arrangement from them!

Tempest of Seasons - Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is my first Fire Emblem game and it completely blew me away. The music was a huge part in that so naturally I arranged one of my favorite pieces in the game, Tempest of Seasons!

Sylvalum - Xenoblade Chronicles X

Sylvalum is my favorite area in Xenoblade Chronicles X and it also contains my favorite music track in the game. This is my arrangement of Sylvalum for Steel Pan and electronics

Ocarina of Time Medley

Ocarina of Time is one of the most beloved video games of all time and the music is still incredibly popular to this day. This is medley contains 8 tracks.

Stone Tower Temple

My very first attempt at composing/arranging for the steel pan. It took me a long while but I finally recorded this piece! Thank you to my good friend Dustin Skenandore for recording the guitar and bass tracks!

Fixing Shattered Glass

My first ever harp solo. Writing for this instrument was such a treat. Please check it out!

One Final Push

A really fun and rocky harp and marimba duet with electronics!

Warm Palms in the Silver Winter

This piece marks the first time I ever composed for harp! Marimba + Harp = really cool and soothing music!

Rise and Fall and Forever

My newest marimba solo! This one is an unaccompanied solo and is written for a 4.3 octave marimba. It has a different sound than most of my other marimba solos, so give it a listen!

The Hallow (World Premiere)

I am playing marimba in the world premiere of a Concept Album/Contemporary Performance hybrid called The Hallow. Performances are in downtown Minneapolis at the Trademark Theater.

The Balance Within

My newest work for Percussion Ensemble! Thank you to Dr. Adam Rappel for giving me the opportunity to compose this piece for the UMN Percussion Ensemble!

Edge of the Galaxy

For 4.3 octave marimba and electronics this piece is relaxing to listen to and great for high schoolers!

Hyrule Castle

Breath of the Wild is one of my favorite video games of all time and I love the soundtrack from that game. Here is one of my favorite tracks from that game, Hyrule Castle!

I will be performing at VGM Con on February 23 at 4:30 pm and I will be giving a clinic/panel on the 24 at noon. Come by if you can, it'll be a lot of fun! They even made this cool poster to promote me!

Vs. Ridley

One of my favorite villains is the space dragon himself, Ridley! This arrangement came out better than I could have hoped. For marimba with electronic accompaniment, it's Ridley's Theme!

Super Mario Bros. Main Theme

One of the most if not the most iconic video game theme out there, my take on the Super Mario Bros. Theme!

Metroid Prime Main Theme

One of my favorite video game themes from arguably my favorite video game of all time. The Main Theme from Metroid Prime! This is my first video game arrangement that also utilizes an electronic backing track.

Silver Filled Dreams

The Percussion Quartet Version of my piece "Silver Filled Dreams" has been published through Heartland Marimba Publications. Thank you to Matthew Coley for giving this amazing opportunity! You can purchase the piece on their website through this URL.

Silverfyllda Drömmar (Silver Filled Dreams) - Percussion Version

This past June I went on tour with the Heartland Marimba Ensemble. Not only was the experience amazing but Heartland Marimba Director, Matthew Coley gave me the opportunity to re-orchestrate my piece Silver Filled Dreams for percussion quartet. This is now the fifth version of the piece (only 3 of them are on my website) and I hope there are many more versions in the future!

Within Reach

Another tune of mine that took me over a year to record. But now I finally have, and I couldn't be releasing it at a better time, now that the end of the semester is Within Reach!

Let the Battles Begin! Battle Theme from Final Fantasy VII

My latest video game arrangement for the marimba. One of my favorite video game battle themes. I am very happy with how this one turned out!

Shadow Dance

Another one of my electro pop rock marimba tunes! I am so glad to finally share this piece. I wrote this back in the summer of 2015 and it took me way too long to get around to recording it. Please enjoy Shadow Dance!

Caldera Aftershock

I am starting to record more and more of my music. This piece was written for my good friend Jarrett and is the latest addition to my Electro Pop Rock Marimba music! Caldera Aftershock.

Relic Castle/Route 10

Trying my hand at arranging more video game music and this time I arranged two of my favorite tunes from Pokémon Black/White. Check it out!

Then Have I Reason To Be Fond of Grief

The passing of my father is something that my family and I will probably never get over. In dealing with the grief of losing a loved one, I collaborated with my sister to write this song for our mother.

Dragon Roost Island

I have finally started arranging music! My first step at introducing video game music to the world of marimba is a tune from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Dragon Roost Island!

Electrified Rosewood

I am finally starting to work on my Electronic Pop Rock Marimba music! Starting with a piece that I wrote a few years ago. I'm so glad I was finally able to start recording these tracks.

International Debut

This past September I made my international debut as a composer and a performer! I had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica with the University of Minnesota Graduate Percussion Ensemble and perform in San Jose and Santa Cruz. The piece of mine that we played was Hypnotic Crystals. It was an amazing experience!

Silverfyllda Drömmar (String Version)

Over the summer I worked at a camp as a music counselor. I met some amazingly talented musicians and got to re-orchestrate Silverfyllda Drömmar for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, and Vibraphone.

Silverfyllda Drömmar

On May 8 we had a benefit for my father who unfortunately passed away prior to the event. The event was called Artists United and brought together artists from all over the country to help support my family and my father. The turn out was absolutely amazing. It is a blessing to have so many people who care for us. I was able to write a piece for the event in dedication to my father. It has quickly become one of my favorite pieces that I have written.

Senior Recital

Thanks to everyone who came out to my Senior Recital! The turnout and support was overwhelmingly awesome and I had a great time. Check out the videos tab or click the button below to take a listen!

Solar Wind by Matt Silverberg (Steel Drum solo with electronics)

Hypnotic Crystals

Darklight Sky
