Music Clinics

I have given numerous clinics throughout the Twin Cities and Green Bay highlighting the importance of music and creativity using my own original music and video game arrangements as an example. These clinics have received very positive feedback and are great for students because video game music is a fast developing genre and very popular amongst students. I also give private lessons and teach/coach drumline and percussion ensembles.

I also offer student and teacher aid. Below are some testimonies of my clinic. If you are interested in any of the aforementioned activities please contact me!

"Matt Silverberg gave an informative, engaging and entertaining presentation to my bands recently. Several excited students stayed into their lunch hour to talk to him and others followed his work online. One student said he was the "best guest artist" we have ever had. If you have students that are interested in playing music in college, having a music career, composing/arranging, video game music, marimba, pop music, he will hit on an area that will grab their attention.

"Matt Silverberg’s presentation to our high school students was incredibly fun!  Our students were excited to hear how their favorite video game soundtracks could be played on Band instruments.  It was also very cool to hear the marimba being played in a new and unique way.  Matt’s original compositions were extremely interesting to listen to with his addition of electronic background sounds and beats.  I saw many of my students dancing and grooving along in their seats!  I would highly recommend having Matt out to visit your school to give this exciting presentation to your students!”

"You will not be disappointed in hosting a Percussion clinic featuring Marimbist/Percussionist Matt Silverberg!  When sharing his love for marimba and percussion with your students, he will also challenge and encourage your students along the way.  Matt uses a variety of musical approaches and makes the music very relatable.  From Classical to current musical themes 21st century students will recognize, Matt's clinics are fun and enjoyable and your students can't help but consider new approaches to their own music-making!"
