Silverfyllda Drömmar

(Silver Filled Dreams)

Silverfyllda Drömmar was written for the Artists United fundraising event on May 8, 2017. The benefit was a tribute to my father who passed away a week before the event. My family is swedish so it seemed right to title this tribute to my father in swedish. Silverfyllda Drömmar translates to Silver Filled Dreams. The title comes from our last name Silverberg, and dreams because dad will live on in our memories. It has a mesmerizing opening and a very powerful middle section. The piece is a telling of my father's life and how much he is loved and will be missed. The piece was originally written for 2 flutes, clarinet, trumpet and vibraphone but has gone through many different orchestrations. The piece is also published through Leading Tones Publications.

Even though the piece was originally written for two flutes, clarinet, trumpet and vibraphone, the instrumentation can be changed to meet whatever ensemble.

Silverfyllda Drömmar was premiered by

Sean Worcester, Maggie Jones (flute),

Matt Silverberg (Vibraphone),

Sam Catania (trumpet), and

Kelly Riordan (Clarinet) at the
